The founders of Muslims with Disabilities are disability rights activists who first established CAM-D in 2004 and then DEEN Support Services in 2013. They hosted the First Annual Global Conference on Disability and Islam in 2020 and launched the Global Network bringing together academics, activists, professionals, and scholars at the conference. Dedicated to improving quality of life and honouring Islamic tradition of accessibility, accommodation, and equality, they are providing an international platform to raise awareness, disseminate research, support outreach, and promote collaboration.
